Latitude, Longitude, and UTM

Use Go to Grid Reference when you want to enter latitude/longitude or UTM coordinates instead of a place name or British National Grid reference.

From the map, open Goto Grid Reference. On desktop, this opens a separate window titled Go to Grid Reference. On mobile, it opens an in-app page with the same title.

Latitude And Longitude

  1. In the Grid Reference dropdown, choose Latitude/Longitude.
  2. Enter the coordinate.
  3. Tap Go or Add Waypoint.

OMN4 accepts several common latitude/longitude formats, including decimal degrees, degrees and decimal minutes, and degrees, minutes, and seconds.

UTM

  1. In the Grid Reference dropdown, choose UTM.
  2. Enter the Zone.
  3. Enter the Easting and Northing.
  4. Turn on Southern hemisphere if needed.
  5. Choose the Precision that matches the numbers you are entering.
  6. Tap Go or Add Waypoint.

Paste Coordinates

Use Paste grid reference if you copied a coordinate from OMN4 or another source.

OMN4 can detect supported pasted latitude/longitude, UTM, and British National Grid text. If the pasted text uses another supported format, OMN4 switches the Grid Reference dropdown and fills the matching fields.

Precision And Results

Precision changes the scale of the numbers you enter or display. It does not move saved routes, tracks, or waypoints.

After OMN4 accepts the coordinate, use Go to move the map there or Add Waypoint to save the position.
