Overview

Use Search and Locate when you want OMN4 to move the map to a known place or a known set of coordinates.

There are two main ways to do that:

• use Search for place names, roads, postcodes, and other indexed places
• use Goto Grid Reference for grid references, latitude/longitude, and UTM coordinates

Good To Know

• Place search needs downloaded place data on the device before it can work offline.
• Download Place Data is separate from downloading maps for offline use.
• Grid references and coordinates can still be used when place data is not installed.
• Choosing a search result or using Go normally moves the map straight to that location.
