Route Sync

Route Sync

OMN stores your route data locally on your device, allowing offline access to your routes and tracklogs. Route Sync transfers your data between devices via Anquet Cloud.

How Sync Works

When you run Route Sync:

  1. New routes and tracklogs from your device are uploaded to Anquet Cloud
  2. Routes and tracklogs from your other devices are downloaded
  3. Your data stays consistent across all your devices

Running Sync

On PC/macOS

  1. Open the GPX Manager (click the GM icon)
  2. Press the Sync button
  3. Wait for synchronisation to complete

On Mobile

  1. Tap the menu button
  2. Select GPX Manager
  3. Tap Sync

Example: Desktop to Mobile

  1. Create a route on your PC and save it
  2. Open the GPX Manager and press Sync
  3. On your phone, open the GPX Manager
  4. Tap Sync to retrieve your route

Example: Mobile to Desktop

  1. Record a tracklog on your phone
  2. Save the tracklog
  3. Open GPX Manager and tap Sync
  4. On your PC, open GPX Manager
  5. Press Sync to download your tracklog

Sync Tips

  • Sync regularly: Keep your devices up to date by syncing often
  • Sync before trips: Ensure your phone has all your planned routes
  • Sync after trips: Upload your recorded tracklogs so you have a backup
  • Check your connection: Sync requires an internet connection

Troubleshooting

If sync isn't working:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you're signed in to the same Anquet account on all devices
  • Try pressing Sync again
  • Contact support if problems persist
