GPS and Tracklogs
Tracklog Controls
Once a tracklog is running, the controls let you pause, resume, stop, and recentre without losing the recording state.
The Main States
- Recording means OMN4 is actively writing track points.
- Paused means the current tracklog is still open, but OMN4 is not adding new points.
- Stopped means the recording session has ended.
Common Actions
- Choose Pause Tracklog when you want a break in the recorded line.
- Choose Resume Tracklog when you want to continue the same tracklog.
- Choose Stop Tracklog when the session is finished.
- Tap GPS when you have dragged the map away from your live position and want OMN4 to recentre on you.
Good To Know
- Dragging the map changes centring, not whether the tracklog is recording.
- While a tracklog is recording, OMN4 treats GPS as an active workflow and does not behave the same way as a simple one-off position check.
- When a tracklog is paused, GPS can be off or on depending on what you do next.
- Stopping a tracklog ends the recording session. Start a new tracklog when you want the next recording to be separate.
