Sign In and Sync
Your first sign-in does more than just open the app. It connects OMN4 to your account, checks your subscriptions, and restores the data that belongs on this device.
- Open OMN4.
- Choose Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Email.
- If you use email sign-in, enter your email address and choose Send Code.
- Enter the code from the email when it arrives, then choose Verify Code.
- If OMN4 asks for your name, complete that step and continue.
What The First Sync Does
During the first sync OMN4 checks your account, subscriptions, routes, tracks, waypoints, settings, activity types, and supported icon imports. If you already use OMN4 on another device, this is the step that brings supported personal data across.
The sync screen may stay open for a little while if:
- you have a lot of route data
- you have recently changed subscriptions
- this is the first time the device has been connected to your account
After Sync
You should now see the main map screen. If you expected maps or subscriptions that are not yet visible, open Map Management and run a refresh there.
Downloaded offline maps are managed per device. Signing in restores supported cloud data and map access, but each phone, tablet, or desktop still needs its own offline map downloads.
If you are moving route, track, or waypoint data from OMN2/3, see Move Data Between OMN2/3 and OMN4.
If Sign-In Does Not Work
- Check the email address carefully, letter by letter.
- If you use email sign-in, use Resend verification code rather than waiting on an old code. Use Change email if the address is wrong.
- If the sync screen stalls or fails, see Sync Issues or Cannot Sign In.
