Map sources

Maps

OMN4 brings map sources into one desktop and mobile workflow. Ordnance Survey is the Great Britain launch strength, while OpenStreetMap and worldwide coverage remain visible as part of the wider product direction.

Great Britain launch source

Ordnance Survey
Licensed Great Britain mapping for route planning, offline use, and desktop printing, subject to subscription.
  • Featured launch map source, not the whole OMN4 product definition.
  • Use Great Britain wording where the map entitlement is England, Scotland, and Wales.
  • Screenshots need Ordnance Survey attribution before public launch.

Worldwide source and roadmap

OpenStreetMap and worldwide coverage
Current worldwide low-detail raster coverage, with full-vector worldwide OpenStreetMap kept as roadmap until it ships.
  • Current worldwide coverage should be described conservatively.
  • Full-vector worldwide OpenStreetMap must stay future-tense until shipped.
  • Screenshots need OpenStreetMap attribution and ODbL guidance.

Plan and download deliberately

Use the map source that fits the trip, then download the areas you need on the device that will use them.

Use maps with routes and GPX

Map sources sit inside the same OMN4 route, track, waypoint, and GPX workflow.

Check attribution before launch

Every public map screenshot or static map image needs the right source attribution beside the map.
